The Berlin Cathedral measures 114 by 73 metres (bigger than the Cologne Cathedral), the dome is 75 metres high up to the base of the lantern. Below the preaching church is a crypt with the coffins of the Hohen­zollern family. During World War II the main building was heavily damaged and could only be used again in 1993.
